215083-8 is an 8-position male-on-wire insulation displacement connector (IDC) from the AMP Micro-MaTch miniature connector system, designed for ribbon cable termination. The connector features a pre-assembled cover that provides excellent positioning of the ribbon cable during the insulation displacement process, with the cover held in place by individual contacts and plastic latches at both ends. It is compatible with ribbon cable (UL Style 2651) with 1.27 mm conductor spacing and supports solid conductors of 0.30 mm diameter or stranded 0.08 mm² conductors. With dimensions of A = 3.6 mm (max), B = 10.5 mm (max), and C = 8.89 mm, this connector is wave solder capable to 265°C for through-hole applications.
