NMB’s generation 2 IP68 air movers utilize the advanced Potting II process, delivering certified protection against dust and water ingress while providing significant design and manufacturing advantages over traditional Potting I methods. In the Potting I process, connector assemblies must be pre-assembled to the fan’s PCBA or stator before potting, creating tight mechanical constraints on connector housing dimensions and material compatibility - especially on smaller frame sizes where strut-to-strut spacing is limited. Potting II eliminates these limitations, enabling expanded lead wire and connector configurations without the strict mechanical or thermal restrictions of Potting I, giving engineers greater flexibility in designing and integrating into their systems.
Potting II also supports regional manufacturing for high-volume programs in NMB’s Cambodia facility, allowing potential production transfer outside of China. These fans are built with precision ball bearings for long life and reliable operation across industrial, medical, energy storage, telecommunications, and home appliance applications. Select models feature improved acoustic performance, delivering consistent airflow with reduced noise, all while maintaining rugged IP68 protection and dependable performance in demanding environments.
