CT40-5 is a CircuitWorks® Heat Sink Grease silicone compound designed to facilitate heat transfer away from electrical and electronic components. This heavy consistency material is thickened with heat conductive metal oxide filler to maintain a positive heat sink seal while providing excellent thermal conductivity of 0.63 W/m°K and high dielectric strength of 500 V/mil. The grease operates reliably across a wide temperature range from -15°C to 200°C, exhibits low bleed characteristics, meets MIL-C-47113 specifications, and is noncorrosive with a volume resistivity of 1×10¹4 ohm-cm. It is compatible with ceramic, metals, glass, plastics, silicone resins, and rubber materials, making it ideal for thermal coupling in heat sink devices, high-voltage corona protection, and thermocouple applications in industrial electronics.
