The 1414PHI is a Type 12 mild steel junction box designed for use as instrument enclosures, electric, hydraulic, or pneumatic control housings, electrical junction boxes, and terminal wiring enclosures. The enclosure features a continuously hinged cover secured with stainless steel clamps and plated steel screws, with a seamless poured-in-place gasket providing protection from falling dirt, dust, oil, and water. The body is formed from 16 gauge or 14 gauge steel with smooth, continuously welded seams, and includes a removable 14 gauge inner panel (for models larger than 4" x 4") finished in white powder coating. The enclosure meets UL 508 Type 12/13, CSA Type 12/13, NEMA Type 12/13, and IEC 60529 IP54 standards, with internal threaded weld studs for mounting and bonding/grounding studs for electrical safety. This design provides reliable protection and mounting flexibility for industrial control and electrical distribution applications.
