JS5698 is a self-adhering surface temperature sensor designed for industrial HVACR applications, particularly for placement on external walls of water tanks and boiler reservoirs. It features an NTC thermistor with pressure-sensitive adhesive tape loaded with ceramic powders that provide high thermal conductivity and excellent heat transfer from the heat source while maintaining appropriate dielectric strength. The sensor includes PVC insulated lead wires with a 3×1.5 mm cross-sectional profile, a Molex 5559 connector, and a foam backing tape that provides air and moisture resistance. It operates over a temperature range from -30°C to +70°C with optional WRC (5470) water safety and DIN 4102 part 1 (B3) fire safety approvals. The sensor is ideal for domestic water heating applications where it can be positioned between the water tank and an insulating jacket, offering long-term stability and excellent heat transfer characteristics.
