The 5648-BK is a silver-plated reducing bushing accessory for the Powerpole® PP180 series. It is specifically designed to be used with contact part number 1382-BK, allowing a smaller wire to be used with the connector. This bushing adapts the 1/0 AWG contact barrel to accept wire sizes ranging from 10 to 8 AWG (5.3 to 8.4 mm²). The bushing has an inner diameter of 0.19 inches (4.83 mm). This provides flexibility in high-current wiring systems, however, the electrical capability is derated with the smaller wire and the combination of a bushing and contact is not UL approved.
