The 89PR500KLF is a Model 89 multiturn cermet trimming potentiometer designed for precision resistance adjustment in electronic circuits. It features a 500 kO standard resistance value with ±10% tolerance, 20 turns of electrical travel, and essentially infinite resolution for fine-tuning applications. The device operates at a maximum input voltage of 200 Vdc or rms, with a maximum slider current of 100 mA and a power rating of 0.75 watts at 85°C. It incorporates a 3/4" rectangular molded plastic housing with solderable terminal pins, mechanical stops with clutch action at both ends, and an 85°C Fluorinert seal for environmental protection. The potentiometer operates reliably across a temperature range of -55°C to +125°C with a temperature coefficient of ±100 ppm/°C, making it suitable for instrumentation, calibration circuits, and precision control systems where stable, adjustable resistance is required.
