173378 is a Brady B-427 thermal transfer printable translucent vinyl tape designed for wire and cable identification applications. This self-laminating material features a white printable zone with a translucent overlaminating area and uses a permanent acrylic adhesive. The tape has a total thickness of 0.0040 inch (0.102mm) and offers excellent adhesion to stainless steel (49 oz/in after 24-hour dwell) and polypropylene (33 oz/in after 24-hour dwell). It provides reliable performance across a wide temperature range from -94°F (-70°C) to 158°F (70°C) and demonstrates outstanding resistance to humidity, UV light, weathering, and chemical exposure. The material is UL Recognized to UL969A and UL2238 standards when printed with compatible Brady thermal transfer ribbons, making it ideal for industrial wire marking and cable assembly applications.
