The 1590DD is a rugged diecast aluminum alloy electronic instrument enclosure from Hammond's 1590 Series, engineered for general-purpose, wall-mounting applications with water-tight protection. It features lap joint construction where the lid and box meet, providing protection against dust and splashing water while improving EMI/RFI shielding. The enclosure is designed to meet IP65 rating when equipped with the included gasket and properly torqued lid screws (25-30 cN·m). The natural finish version includes a vibra-finished smooth surface with no sharp edges, and the enclosure accommodates six factory-tapped assembly screw holes.
