The 1590V is a rugged diecast aluminum alloy electronic instrument enclosure from Hammond's 1590 Series, engineered for general-purpose wall-mounting applications with water-tight protection. It features lap joint construction that provides protection against dust and splashing water while improving EMI/RFI shielding, and is available in both standard (IP54) and water-tight (IP65) versions. The enclosure utilizes diecast aluminum for durability and machinability, with an unpainted vibra-finished surface offering a smooth finish without sharp edges, or a textured black polyester powder-coated option for enhanced appearance. Factory-tapped assembly screw holes accept included machine screws, and the low side wall draft angle (2° or less) facilitates easy PC board mounting.
