The 85-346 is a standard, non-feed-thru RJ-45 modular plug intended for termination to CAT5e twisted pair cables. This 8 position, 8 contact (8P8C) plug features 50μ gold-plated contacts to minimize wear and 3-prong contacts to ensure a secure connection to each wire. It includes primary and secondary strain reliefs to hold the cable firmly in place and has a non-keyed design for use with standard crimpers. Designed for 100MHz application compatibility, the plug is suitable for most cables with 24 AWG solid/stranded conductors and is also compatible with many 23 AWG solid conductor CAT6 cables.
