The 24-6040-9713 is a flux-cored solder wire that utilizes Kester 44 activated rosin flux for reliable production line soldering. This high-activity RA flux is classified as ROM1 per J-STD-004 and provides excellent, fast-spreading wetting action on a wide variety of metalizations. Despite its high activity, the flux passes Surface Insulation Resistance (SIR) testing under demanding conditions like 85°C and 85% RH. The resulting flux residues are non-corrosive and non-conductive, meaning they do not require removal for most applications.
