The MCP4012T-503E/CH is a volatile, 6-bit digital rheostat providing 64 adjustable resistance steps with a nominal resistance of 50 kΩ. The wiper setting is controlled through a simple Up/Down (U/D) serial interface, and the device recalls a default mid-scale wiper setting upon power-on. It features a wide operating voltage range from 1.8V to 5.5V and low static power consumption of 1 µA maximum. Housed in a compact 6-Lead SOT-23 package, this device is ideal for applications requiring programmable resistance, such as set point trimming, sensor calibration, and replacing mechanical trim pots in cost-sensitive designs.
