The MCP4161-104E/P is a single-channel, 8-bit digital potentiometer featuring non-volatile memory and controlled via an SPI serial interface. It provides an end-to-end resistance of 100 kΩ with 257 discrete wiper steps and a typical wiper resistance of 75 Ω. The device operates over a wide voltage range of 2.7V to 5.5V and includes EEPROM for storing the wiper setting, which is automatically recalled on power-up. Features like WiperLock™ technology allow for secure calibration settings, making it suitable for applications such as set-point control, sensor trimming, and adjustable gain/offset in various electronic circuits.
