The MCP4251T-103E/SL is a dual 8-bit digital potentiometer with volatile RAM memory, providing two independent resistor networks controlled through a single SPI interface. This device offers 257 steps of resolution for each 10 kΩ potentiometer and operates over a wide voltage range of 1.8V to 5.5V. It features a low typical wiper resistance of 75 Ω, a high-speed SPI interface supporting up to 10 MHz, and a terminal disconnect feature via a shutdown pin or TCON register for low-power states. With its dual configuration and extended temperature range of -40°C to +125°C, it is well-suited for applications requiring precise, digitally controlled resistance adjustments, such as set-point calibration, sensor trimming, and adjustable gain amplifier circuits.
