The LM2596DSADJR4G is a monolithic step-down switching regulator capable of driving a 3.0 A load with excellent line and load regulation. It operates from a wide input voltage range of 4.5 V to 40 V and features an adjustable output voltage from 1.23 V to 37 V. The device uses a fixed 150 kHz internal oscillator, which allows for smaller external filter components, and includes features such as a low-power standby mode (80 µA typical), thermal shutdown, and current limit protection. This regulator is internally compensated to minimize external components, making it ideal for high-efficiency buck regulators, on-card switching regulators, and pre-regulators for linear systems.
