The 10044 is a 4" × 4" open-top static shielding bag from 3M's SCC 1000 series designed to provide a static-safe environment for sensitive electronic devices. It features a four-layer polyester/metal/polyethylene laminate construction with an aluminum shield layer that provides Faraday effect shielding against electrostatic discharge (ESD) and electromagnetic fields. The bag has an interior surface resistivity of less than 10¹² ohms/square, exterior surface resistivity of less than 10¹² ohms or 10¹¹ ohms, and a metal layer resistance of 100 ohms, with static decay time of less than 2 seconds and charge generation of 0.09 nC/sq.in. The bag exhibits a tensile strength of 4700 PSI, seam strength greater than 10 lbs, and a thickness of 3 mils (±15% tolerance), making it suitable for protecting integrated circuits, semiconductors, and other ESD-sensitive components during storage, handling, and transport. These bags are tested to meet ANSI/ESD S541, EIA 625, and ANSI/ESD S20.20 program compliance standards.
