1-747950-5 is an HDE-20 shielding hardware enclosure kit designed for 37-position D-subminiature connectors with contact finish plating code 2 (26-22 AWG wire). The kit features a steel tin-plated connector shell, 94V-O rated thermoplastic black insert, and phosphor bronze contacts with duplex plating (gold flash on mating end, tin on termination end, nickel underplated). It accommodates recommended cable outer diameter range of 0.338–0.562 inches with a maximum inner cable bundle diameter of 0.450 inches after jacket and braid removal. The connector dimensions are 2.010 inches (Dim. C) by 2.865 inches (Dim. D) with an enclosure dimension (Dim. E) of 0.730 inches. This kit is ideal for industrial machinery, medical instrumentation, computers, and telecommunications applications requiring shielded D-subminiature connections with robust environmental protection.
