MOV-20D471K is a 20 mm radial leaded metal oxide varistor designed to protect against overvoltage transients such as lightning, power contact, and power induction. The device features a nominal varistor voltage of 470 V with a tolerance of ±10%, a maximum continuous voltage rating of 300 V (r.m.s.) and 385 V (d.c.), and a fast response time of 10–25 ns. It delivers a maximum peak current of 6500 A at 8/20 µs pulse waveform with a maximum energy absorption of 220 J per pulse, making it suitable for high-energy surge protection applications. The varistor is RoHS compliant, UL 1449 certified, and commonly used in power supplies, power systems, line voltage protection, telecom systems, and white goods/appliances.
