SMAJ160A is a unidirectional transient voltage suppressor diode designed for surge and ESD protection in portable communications, computing, and video equipment. The device features a 150 V working peak reverse voltage with a breakdown voltage range of 225–247 V, housed in a compact DO-214AC (SMA) surface mount package. It delivers 400 watts peak pulse power dissipation at 1 ms pulse width and maintains steady-state power dissipation of 1.0 watt at 75°C lead temperature, with a peak forward surge current of 40 amps. Operating across a temperature range of -55°C to +150°C, the SMAJ160A provides fast response times and is RoHS compliant with UL recognition. This device is ideal for protecting sensitive electronics against transient overvoltage events per IEC 61000-4-2 (ESD), IEC 61000-4-4 (EFT), and IEC 61000-4-5 (Surge) standards.
