SMBJ6.5A is a transient voltage suppressor diode designed for surge and ESD protection in portable communications, computing, and video equipment. This device features a working peak reverse voltage of 6.5V with a breakdown voltage range of 6.67V to 7.37V, and is housed in a compact DO-214AA (SMB) surface mount package. The diode offers fast response times of less than 5.0 picoseconds for bidirectional operation and can dissipate up to 600 watts of peak power. With maximum reverse leakage current of 9.00 mA and clamping voltage of 10.2V at 13.4A, the SMBJ6.5A provides reliable protection against transient overvoltages. It is RoHS compliant and suitable for IEC 61000-4-2 ESD, IEC 61000-4-4 EFT, and IEC 61000-4-5 Surge protection applications.
