The SC72AAB is a miniature surface mount thermal cutoff (TCO) device designed for overtemperature and overcurrent protection in battery and electronic applications. It features a trip temperature of 72 °C ± 5 °C with a reset temperature minimum of 40 °C, and is rated for DC 9 V / 25 A with 6000 cycles contact rating. The device has a maximum breaking current of DC 5 V / 50 A (100 cycles), maximum voltage rating of DC 28 V / 25 A (100 cycles), and a contact resistance of 5 milliohms maximum. With a low profile body height of 0.94 ± 0.05 mm, high corrosion resistance, and RoHS/halogen-free compliance, the SC72AAB is ideal for battery cell protection in notebook PCs, tablet PCs, and smartphones, as well as overtemperature protection for USB Type-C cables, electronic cigarettes, and medical heaters.
