SMA6J15CA is a bidirectional transient voltage suppressor diode designed for surge and ESD protection in compact DO-214AC (SMA) surface mount package format. The device features a working peak reverse voltage (VRWM) of 15 V, a breakdown voltage range of 16.7 to 18.5 V, and a maximum reverse peak voltage of 24.4 V, with a reverse current of 24.6 A at the surge condition. It delivers 600 W power dissipation capability with typical fast response times of less than 1.0 picosecond from 0 V to breakdown voltage, and is RoHS compliant. The SMA6J15CA is ideal for protecting power buses, I/O interfaces, and sensitive electronics in telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer applications where transient overvoltage protection is critical.
