SMAJ16CA is a bidirectional transient voltage suppressor diode designed for surge and ESD protection in portable communications, computing, and video equipment. The device features a working peak reverse voltage of 17 V, breakdown voltage range of 17.8 to 19.7 V, and is housed in a compact DO-214AC (SMA) surface mount package. It delivers peak pulse power dissipation of 400 watts at 1 ms pulse width and peak forward surge current of 40 amps, with steady-state power dissipation of 1.0 watt at 75°C lead temperature.
