The DWSVDAC13 is a cup anemometer designed for measuring air speed in applications including wind turbines, buildings, cranes, and weather stations. It features opto-electronic detection with both PNP and NPN open collector outputs in a single unit, providing a fixed current of 12.5 mA ± 2 mA switched proportionally to air speed at a rate of 10 pulses per m/s. The device operates over a measuring range of 2 to 30 m/s with an accuracy of ±0.5 m/s below 3 m/s and ±10% above 3 m/s, powered by a 10 to 28 VDC supply voltage. The sensor features a black PVC housing with a stainless steel rotor, built-in self-regulated heater (12 to 24 VAC/DC), dust labyrinth sealing, and comprehensive protection against reverse polarity, transients, and ESD. Operating temperature range is -20 to 60°C with IP54 protection rating, making it suitable for harsh environmental conditions including high humidity, salt, and dust exposure.
