S5G is a standard recovery SMD rectifier diode manufactured by Diotec Semiconductor, designed for 50/60 Hz mains rectification and power supply applications. It features a repetitive peak reverse voltage (VRRM) of 400 V and surge peak reverse voltage (VRSM) of 400 V, with a maximum average forward rectified current of 5 A at 100°C junction temperature and 8 A at 75°C. The diode exhibits a forward voltage drop of less than 1.1 V at 5 A, a reverse recovery time of typically 1500 ns, and a junction capacitance of 80 pF at 4 V reverse bias. With a junction temperature range of -50°C to +150°C and thermal resistance of 32 K/W (junction to ambient), the S5G is well-suited for commercial-grade power conversion, polarity protection circuits, and industrial rectification applications.
