The 1590U is a rugged diecast aluminum alloy electronic instrument enclosure from the 1590 Series, engineered for general-purpose wall-mounting applications with water-tight protection. It features lap joint construction that provides protection against dust and splashing water while improving EMI/RFI shielding, and includes factory-tapped assembly screw holes that accept machine screws. The enclosure is available in standard versions designed to meet IP54 rating, with optional watertight versions meeting IP65 that include a silicone gasket with temperature rating from -40°C to 150°C. The diecast aluminum construction is tough yet easy to machine, with a low side wall draft angle of 2° or less for easy PC board mounting, making it ideal for custom modifications and integration into various electronic systems.
