The 096522-0840 is a Micro-D metal shell connector featuring 0.050" (1.27 mm) contact spacing with size 24 MICROPIN/MICROSOCKET contacts in a high-density configuration. The connector employs aluminum shells to provide greater strength, prevent chipping and cracking, and offer electromagnetic (EMI) and RFI shielding. It incorporates a silicone elastomer compression interfacial seal to provide moisture and humidity sealing between each contact.
