142-0801-801 is an SMA plug assembly end-launch connector designed for high-frequency RF applications. The connector features a 50-ohm impedance with a frequency range of 0 to 18 GHz, making it suitable for broadband RF signal transmission. The body, nut, and contact are constructed from brass with gold plating (0.0001 inches minimum over nickel at 0.00005 inches minimum over copper at 0.00005 inches minimum), while the insulator is made of TEFLON and the retention spring is beryllium copper unplated. Mechanically, the connector supports a manual torque of 7–10 inch-pounds, coupling proof torque of 15 inch-pounds maximum, and coupling nut retention of 60 pounds minimum, with a durability rating of 500 cycles minimum. The connector operates reliably across a wide temperature range of -65°C to 165°C and meets or exceeds ML-C-39012 standards for environmental performance including thermal shock, corrosion resistance, shock, vibration, and moisture resistance. This connector is ideal for precision RF interconnections in test equipment, communications systems, and high-frequency instrumentation where reliable signal integrity and durability are essential.
