The 100630 is a 6" × 30" open-top static shielding bag manufactured by 3M (SCC 1000 series) with four-layer polyester/metal/polyethylene laminate construction. The bag provides Faraday effect shielding through its polyester dielectric and aluminum metal layer, which prevents penetration of damaging electrostatic fields, while the specially processed polyethylene minimizes tribocharging. Key electrical properties include interior surface resistivity less than 10¹² ohms/square, metal layer resistance of 100 ohms, static decay time less than 2 seconds, and static shielding voltage less than 30 volts. Physical characteristics include tensile strength of 4700 PSI, seam strength greater than 10 lbs, material thickness of 3 mils (±15% tolerance), and light transmission of 40%. The bag is tested to meet ANSI/ESD S541, EIA 625, and ANSI/ESD S20.20 program compliance standards, making it ideal for protecting sensitive electronic components during storage, handling, and transport in ESD-controlled environments.
