The IR-EK2 is an infrared gas sensor evaluation kit designed to accelerate gas sensor instrument development using SGX infrared gas sensors. The kit features a PCB with sockets compatible with 6-pin, 7-pin (single gas), or 8-pin (twin gas) infrared sensors, adjustable lamp drive voltage from 3.0 V to 5.0 V, and 16-bit ADC resolution for precise signal measurement. It includes USB connectivity to a PC, free data logging and control software, adjustable reference and active channel gains, four configurable alarm outputs, two 12-bit analog outputs, and four digital inputs via an expansion connector. The evaluation kit enables users to calibrate sensors, monitor gas concentration levels, experiment with different settings, and assess sensor performance before designing their own instruments, making it ideal for rapid prototyping and development of gas sensing applications.
