The tool features a ratchet mechanism to ensure reliable crimp terminations and includes three color-coded die nests for different wire size ranges: red for 22-18 AWG, blue for 16-14 AWG, and yellow for 12-10 AWG. Compatible terminals include ring tongue terminals, spade terminals, butt splices, and 250 Series FASTON terminals. The tool is intended for occasional use and low volume applications, providing consistent crimping dimensions for proper terminations. After crimping, a heat gun can be used to shrink the insulation for a moisture-proof seal.
