66582-7 is a socket contact strip designed for use in MULTIMATE Type VI connector systems. This brass contact features localized gold plating (0.76µm minimum) in the contact area and tin-lead or tin plating (1.27µm minimum) in the termination area, both over a 1.27µm minimum nickel underplate. The contact accommodates 22–18 AWG wire with an insulation diameter range of 2.79–1.27 mm (.110–.050 in) and accepts 1.57 mm (.062 in) diameter pins. Supplied reverse reeled for mini-applicator use, this contact is ideal for high-reliability interconnect applications requiring consistent crimp terminations.
