The KG442A2XXA21XX is a protected power rocker switch from the KG series designed for industrial control and switching applications. It features VDE (EN 61058-1) approval and IP65 sealing for protection against dust and water ingress, with a maximum current rating of 15A at 12VDC or 15A at 250VAC for ON-OFF and ON-ON functions. The switch offers excellent electrical performance with an initial contact resistance of 10 mO maximum at 1A 2VDC, insulation resistance of 1,000 MO minimum at 500VDC, and dielectric strength of 2,000 Vrms at 50 Hz. It is constructed with a thermoplastic UL94-V0 case, silver-plated brass terminals, and silver grain contacts, providing robust mechanical durability with 100,000 cycles minimum for 2-position models and 30,000 cycles for 3-position models. The switch operates reliably across a wide temperature range of -40°C to +85°C for 2-position models and -10°C to +65°C for 3-position models, with shock resistance of 100 g and vibration resistance of 10 g (10-500 Hz), making it suitable for demanding industrial environments including control panels, machinery, and power distribution systems.
