MF-R040-AP-99 is a PTC (Positive Temperature Coefficient) resettable fuse from Bourns' MF-R Series featuring radial leaded construction for circuit protection. This device is rated for a maximum voltage of 60 V and maximum current of 40 A, with a hold current (Ihold) of 0.40 A and trip current (Itrip) of 0.80 A at 23°C. The fuse exhibits an initial resistance of 0.86 O and a post-trip resistance of 1.29 O maximum, with a maximum time to trip of 3.8 seconds at 23°C and typical tripped power dissipation of 0.55 W. The device is constructed with cured, flame-retardant epoxy polymer insulation meeting UL 94V-0 requirements, is RoHS compliant, and halogen-free with cUL agency recognition. It is commonly used in computers, peripherals, and general electronics applications where reliable overcurrent protection is required.
