SMAJ160CA is a bidirectional transient voltage suppressor diode designed for surge and ESD protection in portable communications, computing, and video equipment. This device features a compact SMA (DO-214AC) surface mount package with a maximum reverse voltage rating of 160 V and a breakdown voltage of 178 V. The diode delivers 400 watts peak pulse power dissipation (1 ms pulse width) and operates across a temperature range of -55°C to +150°C, with typical response times under 5 nanoseconds. Its lead-free, RoHS-compliant construction makes it ideal for protecting sensitive circuits against transient voltage spikes while maintaining high reliability in demanding applications.
