The 62V01-01-200SH is a 1/2" package optical rotary encoder designed for position sensing and control in consumer and industrial applications. It features 32 detent positions (11.25° angle of throw), operates at 3.3 Vdc, and provides 2-bit quadrature coded output compatible with CMOS and TTL logic. The encoder is optically coupled for reliable operation over more than 1 million rotational cycles, with an initial operating torque of 2.0 ±1.4 in-oz and includes an integral pushbutton with 3 million actuation cycles minimum life. The device is housed in a thermoplastic body with stainless steel components, includes a 28 AWG stranded cable with 0.100" wire centers, and is commonly used in global positioning systems, driver information systems, and medical equipment where compact, economical position sensing is required.
