The 8642AKB is a double-pole momentary/alternate action pushbutton switch from the 8000 series, featuring solder lug terminals and a threaded Ø6.35 mm (1/4") bushing with keyway. It provides two independent switching circuits (poles 1-2 and 4-5 in momentary mode, poles 2-3 and 5-6 in alternate mode) with silver contacts rated for 3A at 250VAC, 6A at 125VAC, or 4A at 30VDC. The switch exhibits an initial contact resistance of 10 mO maximum, insulation resistance of 1,000 MO minimum at 500VDC, and an electrical life of 30,000 cycles at full load. Operating over a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C with a total travel of 2.70 mm, the 8642AKB is ideal for industrial control panels, instrumentation, and applications requiring reliable dual-circuit switching with UL approval.
