LC77AY-1 is a miniature thermal cutoff (TCO) device designed for overtemperature and overcurrent protection in lithium polymer and prismatic battery cells. It features a trip temperature of 77 °C ± 5 °C with a reset temperature of 40 °C minimum, and offers a contact rating of DC9V / 12 A for 6000 cycles. The device has a maximum breaking current of DC5V / 40 A for 100 cycles, a resistance of 10 ± 5 milliohms max, and compact dimensions of 5.8 mm × 2.7 mm × 2.5 mm. This RoHS compliant and halogen free component is ideal for battery cell protection in notebook PCs, tablet PCs, smartphones, and mobile phones, providing virtually instantaneous control of abnormal, excessive current.
