MOV-07D821K is a 7 mm radial leaded metal oxide varistor designed to protect against overvoltage transients such as lightning, power contact, and power induction. This device features a nominal varistor voltage of 820 V with a maximum continuous voltage rating of 510 V r.m.s. (675 V d.c.), and delivers a maximum clamping voltage of 1355 V at the rated class current of 10 A (8/20 µs pulse). The varistor exhibits fast response time of 10–25 ns, high current handling capability with a peak current rating of 40 A (8/20 µs), and maximum energy absorption of 84 J, making it suitable for protecting power supplies, power systems, line voltage circuits, telecom systems, and white goods/appliances. The device is RoHS compliant, operates over a temperature range of -40°C to +105°C, and is housed in a molded radial package with 100% Sn plating on terminations.
