SMAJ6.0A is a unidirectional transient voltage suppressor diode designed for surge and ESD protection in portable communications, computing, and video equipment. The device features a breakdown voltage range of 6.40 to 7.00 volts with a maximum reverse voltage of 1.0 volt at the rated current, and is housed in a compact DO-214AC (SMA) surface mount package. It delivers a peak pulse power dissipation of 400 watts with a peak forward surge current of 40 amps (8.3 ms single half sine wave), and maintains steady-state power dissipation of 1.0 watt at 75°C lead temperature.
