SMAJ7.0A is a unidirectional transient voltage suppressor diode designed for surge and ESD protection in portable communications, computing, and video equipment. The device features a 7.0 V working peak reverse voltage with a breakdown voltage range of 7.78 to 8.98 V, and delivers 400 watts peak pulse power dissipation at 1 ms pulse width. It is housed in a compact DO-214AC (SMA) surface mount package with a cathode band indicating unidirectional polarity, and operates reliably across a temperature range of -55°C to +150°C. The SMAJ7.0A meets IEC 61000-4-2 ESD (Level 4), IEC 61000-4-4 EFT, and IEC 61000-4-5 Surge standards, making it ideal for protecting sensitive circuits from transient overvoltage events in demanding applications.
