The 40-3-10 is a Soder-Wick® Lead-Free desoldering braid engineered for removal of high-temperature lead-free solders with superior wicking performance and minimal heat transfer time. This product features a single-layer weave design that is lighter in mass than conventional desoldering braids, enabling lead-free solder removal at lower temperatures while responding faster than traditional alternatives. The braid is halide-free with no corrosive residues, RoHS compliant, and packaged on static dissipative bobbins to protect against electrostatic discharge damage. With a width of 2.0 mm (0.080 inches) and green color identification, it is ideal for removing solder from through-hole components, SMT pads, BGA pads, micro circuits, and terminals while minimizing the risk of heat damage to pads, components, and PCBs. The product has a shelf life of 2 years and meets multiple industry standards including ANSI/IPC J STD-004 Type ROL0 and MIL-F-14256F.
