The 1590BB is a rugged diecast aluminum alloy electronic instrument enclosure designed for general-purpose wall-mounting and protection of electronic components. It features lap joint construction where the lid and box meet, providing protection against dust and splashing water while improving EMI/RFI shielding. The enclosure is manufactured from diecast aluminum that is tough yet easy to machine, with a low side wall draft angle of 2° or less for easy PC board mounting. The standard version is designed to meet IP54 protection rating, with watertight versions available that meet IP65 and include a gasket. The 1590BB includes factory-tapped assembly screw holes that accept machine screws (included with the enclosure), making installation straightforward for electronic instrument designers and hobbyists building custom enclosures.
