The HONEYWELL part EX-AR16 is a MICRO SWITCH™ Hazardous Location Switch designed for use in explosive atmospheres. It features an epoxy-coated aluminum housing for durability and resistance to corrosion. This switch has a side rotary design with a momentary action and a bronze roller lever for reliable performance. The switch can be maintained in either clockwise or continuous counter-clockwise rotation when viewed from the nameplate side, and has no internal stop mechanism, allowing for continuous rotation in either direction. The EX-AR16 is a single pole double throw switch (SPDT) with a 15 A rating at 125, 250, or 480 Vac. It has a low operate force for easy operation and a NEMA 1 seal rating for added protection. The switch can withstand a wide operating temperature range of -40 °C to 70 °C (-40 °F to 158 °F) and features a 1/2 - 14 NPT conduit termination for easy installation. This switch is certified for hazardous locations, including NEMA 7: Class I, Div. 1 & 2, Groups C & D; NEMA 9: Class II, Div. 1 & 2, Groups E, F, & G; and Ex d IIB + H2 T6 Category II 2 G. It is approved by various agencies including ATEX (CE), CSA, UL, IEC Ex, and INMETRO. The EX-AR16 also includes both external and internal ground screws for additional safety. Please note that no mounting bracket or mounting hardware is supplied with this switch.
