The HONEYWELL part EXD-AR-3 is a MICRO SWITCH„¢ Hazardous Location Switch designed for use in environments with potentially explosive atmospheres. It features an epoxy-coated aluminum housing and a side rotary design with a momentary action and bronze roller lever. The switch has a double pole double throw (DPDT) configuration and can handle a maximum current of 10 A at 125 or 250 Vac. It has a NEMA 1 seal rating and is designed to operate in temperatures ranging from -40 °C to 70 °C [-40 °F to 158 °F]. The switch is furnished with a 1/2 - 14 NPT conduit termination and comes with a 914 mm [36 in] leadwire. It has a NEMA 7 rating for use in Class I, Div. 1 & 2, Groups B, C & D hazardous locations and a NEMA 9 rating for use in Class II, Div. 1 & 2, Groups E, F, & G hazardous locations. The switch also meets the Ex d IIB + H2 T6 Category II 2 G standard. The EXD-AR-3 switch is approved by several agencies including ATEX (CE), CSA, UL, IEC Ex, and INMETRO.
