The MBRS2040LT3G is a surface-mount Schottky power rectifier employing a metal-to-silicon junction with an oxide passivated construction. It is rated for a peak repetitive reverse voltage of 40 V and an average rectified forward current of 2.0 A. This device features a low forward voltage drop, a high non-repetitive peak surge current of 70 A, and operates over a junction temperature range of -55°C to +125°C. With its compact SMB package and guardring for over-voltage protection, it is ideally suited for use as a free-wheeling or polarity protection diode in low voltage, high-frequency switching power supplies.
