The 1663128-3 is an ARINC 600 press-fit power contact designed for aerospace, defense, and marine applications, providing a soldering-free PCB attachment solution. This contact features a high-strength copper alloy base with multiple size options (12, 16, 20, and 22) supporting current ratings from 5.0 A to 25.0 A depending on contact size. The contact is rated for a dielectric withstanding voltage of 1500 VACrms at sea level and 500 VACrms at 50,000 ft, with an insulation resistance of 1000 megohms minimum and operates reliably across a temperature range of -65°C to +125°C. It meets ARINC 600-19 specifications and has been validated for 500 mating cycles with durability testing including thermal cycling (1000 hours at 125°C), vibration, and shock resistance. This press-fit design eliminates soldering processes, reduces weight by up to 10%, and provides backward compatibility while delivering cost savings in aerospace and defense connector applications.
